Presented by XXL and Band Camp Records, in association with hotnewhiphop.com, MOD2 will feature guest appearances from Q-Tip, Bun B, Talib Kweli, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Havoc of Mobb Deep, Large Professor, Kendrick Lamar, Roc Marciano , Diggy Simmons, Mac Miller, Pill and XV. Production duties were handled by Kanye West, J Dilla, Tip, 88-Keys, Moss as well as Band Camp Records’ Produce Section consisting of Lee Bannon and the Fyre Department, with scratches by DJ Statik Selektah.

The tape, which is hosted by DJ Ill Will, DJ Rockstar, follows up Cons’ 2010 effort of the same name. The Queens-bred lyricist is currently working on his debut for Universal Record, Cons TV, to be entirely produced by his cousin, A Tribe Called Quest front man Q-Tip and former partner-in-rhyme, Kanye West.

Happy new year people! Here’s a mix I put together of some of my favourite Hip Hop tracks that came out in 2010 – mixed & blended together with plenty of cuts & juggles fresh cuts radio style. This could well be the last ‘fresh cuts’ from me for a while, as I’m now also playing fresh hip hop every month on the Droppin’ Science Show & have a tonne of other projects to focus on.
