DJ Nickname
After moving to London in 2004, my debut in the city was at Shoreditch’s infamous Pool bar (RIP) where I could be found rocking a monthly party that played host to some of London’s best break dancers, poppers & lockers as well as the East London party massive. Since then, I have coninued to play clubs, bars and parties across London Town and in 2008 proudly became 55DSL’s official DJ.
I am an obsessive collector of Funk, Soul & Hip Hop records. I also enjoy a healthy mix of Disco, 80’s, Newjack, Funky Breakbeat, Drum & Bass, Jungle, Reggae & Dubstep and more generally anything that has some ooooomph! I am on a lifetime mission to collect every record J Dilla [RIP] has ever produced and best enjoy rocking Old Skool Hip Hop and Funk parties.
I am a member/founder of Droppin’ Science, a club night started by myself, DJ Matman and DJ Daredevil in mid 2009. Currently hosted at Brick Lane’s Vibe Bar, we have welcomed like likes of DJ IQ & Mr Thing and provide nothing more than a proper party!
Memorable highlights from my career so far include a guest mix on Skanks Radio (for Nu Skool Breaks), a guest mix on Diesel UMusic, as well as playing at London Fashion Week parties, DJing in the Nike ID store, supporting The Nextmen, repping 55DSL at private Notting Hill Carnival parties alongside ‘It’s Bigger Than’ and ‘YoYo’ DJ’s, playing instore at the Fenchurch flagship store and repping 55DSL for Grazia Magazine events. As well as countless parties at great venues all across London.
