Rhymefest records at New York’s legendary Baseline Studios w/ super-producer Just Blaze.
The end tune sounds dope, but Ryhmefest has some serious problems in the booth. Also features appearances by Chicago Tribe B-boy Crew & Fest performance at Lollapalooza.

Here’s the newest single off Reflection Eternal’s upcoming album ’Revolutions Per Minute’ which is said to release on April 6th. The track is a lot slower than what we’re used to from Hi-Tek, but it’s a good track and could mark a return to form for Kweli & Hi-tek.
Here is the new 5 track EP from Freddie Joachim. This EP shows him moving towards a more funky style of beat whilst using amazing motown-esque samples. Listen to the whole EP on the widget below.
Regular readers of Droppin’ Science will know we’ve got nuttin’ but love for Sean Price, aka Ruck from Heltah Skeltah. Redlight Boogie (aka SugaCane) is a Dutch mc who has been a pillar of the Dutch HipHop scene for close to twenty years. He recently released his international debut album ‘Dirty Money, Clean Hands‘ on iTunes and Amazon and it holds this monster of a bonus-track featuring Sean P.
Sugacane has dropped features in both English and Dutch (though he prefers English) and released several 12’s but rarely had to rely on rapping for his income. That’s mostly due to the fact that for many years he ran several establishments in Amsterdam’s (in)famous Red Light District. Being a rap veteran who’s deeply involved in Amsterdam’s nightlife he became the go-to guy for many mc’s visiting The Netherlands.
Don’t expect any deeply conscious lyrics, here’s a dude who grew up battling and according to some, used to throw barstools at wack mc’s. It’s a rugged flow rooted in east coast boombap. You can check out his latest mixtape here for free:
If you’ve checked out the latest edition of my Fresh Cuts Radio podcast, you’ll know that Ty’s new single ‘Emotions‘ is one scorcher of a track.. Check out the video as Ty breaks down his forthcoming new LP out soon on BBE records.
