DJs Matman (DMC Champ), Nickname (55DSL) & Daredevil (DMC/ITF Champ) started Droppin’ Science back in early 2009 as a brand spanking new club night in London Town. Planning to deliver a forward-thinking selection of the what can only be described as good, real music: Real Hip Hop and pure party bangers, the Droppin’ Science collective now represents this and more, with some exciting future developments to be revealed soon in the pipeline…

What started out as a bit of promo for our night, has turned into a well read and heavily subscribed to blog platform. With a small team of contributors dotted about the globe, the Droppin’ Science blog aims to casually spread the word about dope stuff we stumble across!
Droppin’ Science @ Vibe Bar
Now at it’s permanent home at Vibe Bar on the 1st Saturday of each month, Droppin’ Science is the best Hip Hop party East London has to offer. As well as our highly skilled & accomplished residents, each month we also feature a different special guest to rock the party – past & regular guests include Mr Thing (Extended Players) Kid Kanevil (First Word Records), DJ IQ (Professor Green’s DJ), Chris Read (1Xtra/Music of Substance), Sarah Love (1Xtra/MTV), Nonames (Foreign Beggars), Paul White (One Handed/Stones Throw), DJ Snips (Livin’ Proof/Jump Off), Harry Love (Extended Players), Khalil (Livin’ Proof) and more!
The Droppin’ Science Show
Having tested the waters with 2 live guest mixes for Skanks Radio (Nu Skool Breaks) and a takeover show on Diesel UMusic, we kicked off our monthly Droppin’ Science show show on SenseiFM back in the summer of 2010 – you can catch us there every 1st Saturday of the month at 4-6pm, broadcast live from the stupidly dope Upper Playground clothes store in central London.
